Last night I was adding more gravel to one of my tanks. I had an apple snail in there and it was getting in the way so I put it in a 5g tank with a family a trapdoor snails. I left the apple snail in there and a few mins a go I saw that the trapdoor snails were on top of her and eating her shell not just cleaning it. Her shell never looked good in the first place though. I have had cuttle bone in her tank before and it did not help. Is there anything else I could do to help her shell?

oh man, she looks rough. what are you feeding? what is your ph and hardness?

She was in a tank with goldfish. So goldfish food and I do throw in algae wafers, but not everyday. I will go test the water.

Just quarantine the apple snail until him/her shell recovers and make sure nothing targets him/her. Make sure the PH is above 7 and have plenty of calcium supplements available. It looks pretty damaged though, poor snail!
Good luck with the recovery :-)
