mmmmm... I think I've got Ick

That's why I hope it doesn't go to the other tank, thats where the eggs are.....

Wish you luck!

I don't recall if this pertains to the salt/heat method but I've always been told to turn the lights out when treating ich. Maybe somebody can clarify?

The fish handled the first dose of salt very well.
Dosing again in a few hours

Good :) Remember, once all the salt is dosed you have to be patient, even if it looks like it's getting worse.. The heat/salt treatment will kill the parasite once it's free floating so there is nothing you can do to remove them from the bodies except wait for them to complete the life cycle.

My platy fry have it right now and it's frustrating but I'm just keeping the temp high, salt at a proper concentration, and vacuuming the gravel every chance I get to remove whatever spores I can.

I'm going to do my vac/water change when I add salt again.

Just remember that when you do a water change you will lose some salt concentration so you have to compensate! :)

Will Ich generally get worse before it gets better?
It has moved to my Severum now, it wasn't on him yesterday......

It mostly likely means that they had the parasite before treatment. What is your current salt dosage and temperature at?
