mmmmm... I think I've got Ick

Well todays update.
There seems to be less spots on the SD, none on the BP and quite a few on the Sev. His side is still scrapped up and he keeps that fin clamped.

sorry the picture is so blurry.....

Yeah he's definitely been rubbing himself raw :( As soon as the ich treatment is over I would do a big WC and start dosing Melafix. Do you have tank he could go in by himself during treatment?

I will later tonight or tomorrow.

This is so scary and intense, my black moor has ick or so I think. I noticed it yesterday and his tail looks as if it is shredding but he has no white spots. I am treating him with Melafix. Would anyone suggest changing the treatment to table salt? Please help.

Keep us posted on the recovery.

Table salt has worked very well so far for me. I've got an bacteria bloom of some kind, but that could be from upgrading the lights to T5 6700k. I have never used a fish med though so I don't have much input on the subject.

The ich is probably the more concerning factor, I would treat for 2 weeks and once it goes away then start dosing the melafix again to help the fins. Use carbon in your filter to remove the melafix.

Ich is in the other tank with the convicts now.........:swear:

Just a note...when having ich in one tank and you have several, you must use extreme caution to not cross contaminate with equipment in any way. Even from your hands.

Well the SD in the big tank used to be in the 30L and i switched them with the Convicts and their eggs..... I don't know which tank had it first.

Happened to me... Get the temp up there too and start the salt!

PS your new avatar is funny..
