When my post was edited, it was done so that I wouldn't look like an idiot after a really rude person's post was deleted. I was responding to the post, so with his jerk-off post gone, mine would look stupid. So it was edited.

Just to put my two cents in, I've never had issues with the Mods. Even when we get a little "wound up :evil_lol:" in the chat room, they always warn us to turn it down or take it outside.
As far as having a post edited, I'll admit I'm new, but it hasn't happened to me yet. I'll tell you an easy way to avoid it... don't call your post

Thanks to all for the compliments to the forum staff. We do work hard and go through a lot of discussion on different subjects to make sure we're all in agreement with regard to moderation. Unfortunately, on a site with tens of thousands of people, its literally impossible to give everyone what they want, so we are forced to make decisions that some people just aren't going to like, in order to try and please the majority of the member population. We like to think that usually, these decisions really aren't going to have that large an effect on the lives of the posters, but as has been stated, PLEASE if you have a problem, don't hesitate to take it up with one of the staff. This place isn't about having a playground for the staff, its about all the members and the community. We just try to keep it nice for everyone.
