re: the styrofoam...is it possible to glue sand to the styrofoam so that if fish do some excavating the styrofoam does not stick out?

I use quickcrete sand, the whiter of the 2. I have noticed that they carry a tan color and a whiter color.
I love the look and carefreeness of the sand. My only problem is with the cannister filters. The sand does mess with the magnets.
I never really have to clean the sand . With the cory's and loaches there is never anything to clean.
Once in a while i will run my hands through the sand to stir it.
