I totally agree!! Soooo annoying, and especially the Rochester pronunciation as was pointed out - "Paaaaap". However, I am from NY, and I must say, a water fountain is something you drink out of, a bubbler is something else altogether. And the big fancy kind is just a plain old fountain.
