There was so much great music from the 1950 through the 1970s it is a bit chellenging to choose the bits to post. O lot of rock was not exactly the strongest vocally, but then there was a fair amount of pretty decent harmonizing.

Since the not so great movie, everybody probably knows Queen, Too bad this tune from 1978 did not make the film.

Yeah, there were some great vocals, but then not all great music has to have them.

This was released in April 1977- Birdland was a NYC jazz Club opened in 1949. I closed in the mid 60s dur to rent increases,

"Green Onions" is was recorded in 1962 by Booker T. & the M.G.s.

Circling back to the sound company days, here are two more bands we did shows with in the 70s.

NRBQ is still around today. They were a group that loved to do live shows. We worked with them a few times. The drummer was nicknamed Boom Boom because he used a large drumstick held backwards (the tip in his hand and the fat end used to pound the drums). This is one of their classics, most folks will have to Google Howard Johnsons as this chain vanished a long time ago.

Another act we worked with got its start in 1965 and is still around today. This was not one of their top tunes, but I always liked it Can one actually can heat?

And to my amazement, having watched the TV series in the 1869s but never having bought their albums. I discovered two versions of a song by them I had never heard.

This is from 1955, I was all of 7 years old.
