xsdbs, it's 12'x8'x5'. I could do a divider, but I have no interest in doing so. I'm also not interested in doing saltwater. Freshwater fish have much more interesting personalities. It's hardly miniature either. The festae male is 16" already.

I hope that my reply did not sound insulting, in was just in fun. I know this is a BIG tank and there could be a divider, however as mentioned the statements were only in humor ( though perhaps dryhumor ).
Matt, I plan to have some sort of algae scrubber to remove nitrates. I'll probably run a line outside and use a natural sunlight one. Still considering that thought. Plants will be out of the question because of my stocking choices (constant digging) and I can't afford to provide enough light, ferts, CO2 for a tank that big.
Oh, I see what you're talking about. That's an interesting idea. I wonder what the ratio is on refugium size to tank size for freshwater. If it's 10%, it would be out of the question because of space constraints.
