Hoping the acrylic quote let's you move forward with thsi epic project.
I just figured...the more water you use...the bigger your water bill...so the bigger your tank = bigger water change = more water used = bigger water bill. I don't know much about water bills though.

It's going to get done. Just may take a little more time than I had planned. There's a lot to do while I find a good price on the acrylic.
I don't think I would trust buying large glass or Acrylic on ebay....plus it'd be expensive and hard to ship I would think.
yea exactly! Do you have any local shops that work with acrylic? I know there's one near me (an hour) that can custom cut and make pieces for me if needed. He's rather expensive, but I have a friend who works there so I get discounts 
In fact I am working on my own monster tank....10 feet long, buy 3 feet tall with a bowed front that measures out to 22" 16 on each end. Now I just need to convince the parents to let me have such a beast..
