My 45 Gallon Slate Tank

Well the windelov is now gone. It was harboring some nasty staghorn algae so I pulled it out for a bleach dip before it gets moved to another tank.

Starting to add some moss to the wood now. Its growing pretty fast now so I can move a few patches a day to spread it around.

Here is also some of the glosso growing on the substrate, I have to add some more flourite to this tank because its a little low.

The glosso all started from 5 tiny pieces with about 4 leaves on each little strand. I has really started to spread quickly and I see noticable growth every day on each individual stem that has branched off.

Wow! I am shocked. I really do love this tank. I haven't really ever seen a FW tank that made me wish mine was planted. Yours make me so jealous. I have also never seen the slate idea so that is a wonderful new suprise for me. I will be saving a pic of this so I can place it in my future dream tanks folder ^^

P.S. Would it be possible to see a picture of the entire tank setup? (aka stand and surroundings)

OK can we also get a picture from your front yard looking into your living room with your shades drawn open. Then can you stat up a log the fireplace and take pictures of your fish tank with the lights dimmed slightly.

JK, you have an awesome setup. Hey if your on XBOX live hit me a up friend request, you can get my gamertag from my public profile page here on my sig under My Home Page.

Well I got some cuttings today (thanks Dosage) and I changed things up a bit. I was really lucky and got some really nice plants. They will need a bit of time to straighten up, but they are in good health already, so thats a huge bonus.

Very nice work!

WOW! Outstanding tank decor! That slate wall is beyond impressive and the plant arrangement is perfection! I am green with envy! LOL. I can't imagine that was easy to create, but it was certainly well worth it! Even better than most of the show tanks I see in local competitions! Incredible job and you should be extemely proud!

-drools once again-
Thank you very much for the full view pictures ^^ I am seriously considering setting up my old 5G tank and creating a mini version. It would also give me the chance to house an adorable drawf puffer :D
