My aquascaped planted 10 gallon.(Ongoing journal)

3-3.5wpg of light over a 10g is kinda medium-high light. You will still have a wide variety of plant choices.

I'd stick with small leaved plants like Rotala sp., Ludwigia sp., Baby Tears pr HM, Anubias nana and/or nana 'petite', Dwarf Hairgrass might work in the foreground, although it prefers a nutrient rich substrate IME......mosses for wood or rocks, Didiplis diandra, and smaller Hydrocoytle sp.

Bacopa would be fine if its one of the only plants you can find. It will grow super fast though (like most stems in higher light and co2) but just seems to take up more room than smaller leaved stem plants. And space is limited in a 10g. :)

My suggestion is not to have too many species packed into the tank. Try to scape with maybe 4-6 types of plants if you can.

Thanks
The only place thats gonna have plants is where the flourite is the sand is all going to be open with a couple small stones and couple twigs....
I was thinking maybe just 3 types of plants maybe 4.

Yes, I agree, 3 or 4 main types of plants aside from poss. of moss and some foreground plants would be more than enough diff plant types. I didn't mean to give the impression that you should put all the plants I suggested in there. Let us know what you decide, I'm excited to see!!
Geez, this is seriously making me consider tearing my tank down and starting over...we'll see.

If you decide that the front is too open, you could start a little chain sword, Marselia minuta, HC, or HM in the front corners and let it creep in.

The dividers will slow, but not entirely stop the inevitable mixing of substrates (entropy happens).

It should look very nice - the C. wendtii & Bacopa should both definately be background plants (if you wanted, a really sm. Crypt could start out in front, but remember, in 4-6 months, it will look like the largest one in the bag.

Nice choices!! The micro swords would be another nice option for foreground coverage, great suggestion! I have Narrow leaf chain and micro narrow leaf swords in my tank right now. I would personally suggest the Micro Narrow Leaf as it has been less intrusive than the chain varieties. The narrow chain has taken over an entire section of my 36 bow in the period of a few months...it has also grown larger than my micro; granted it's not that hard to clip the new shoots and replant as you like or trade with others!! I have read a lot that says the micro needs tons of light but it seems to do great under the same conditions as my other "lower" light swords. So logically if your tank could support the chains you should be able to keep micros as well. Keep an eye on the Dwarf Sags, I have read that in shallow tanks they can grow fairly tall. My tank is deep and they have stayed fairly "dwarf"....this is IME of course.
Can't wait to see pics, sounds like it is going to look really sweet!! Have fun, -Tim

I don't know when the plants will get here I just ordered them 1/2 hour ago. Will post more pics when i do some hardscaping...Thanks for all the input...

Just realized that the Micro swords are not actually in the Echino family. Try looking for Lilaeopsis varieties if you decide to get some of these. They are usually sold by common trade names of micro swords, but this may make it easier to find. The kind I have is Lilaeopsis "Mauritius", also "Carolinensis" is nice. These two have needle thin leaves and look very "grassy" compared to other chain swords (even the narrow leaf). You are going to love the Wisteria (difformis)...it is one of my favorites in the tank; really beautiful bright green plant with a lot of character!!

the wisteria is actually coming free with the rotala..Only 5 stems of it ..but
I might try some Hc in the corners and pluck it as needed if it fills in to much..

My wisteria seems to be a fairly slow grower compared to most of my other stem plants. If you can find some I would strongly suggest Hygro Polysperma (Tropic Sunset varietal). It is kinda hard to find but well worth it if you can. Compliments Wisteria just great. The Tropic Sunset Hygro is light green with pink....I have them together in my tank and they look awesome side by side. Just a suggestion if you were thinking of one more background plant. When mine grows out more who knows maybe we could trade. Nice score on the free Wisteria too...5 is a great start for a 10 gallon tank!!:):)
