Alright the internet is horrible in class right now and I managed to post my thing 4 times, and then they got deleted, so I'm going to attempt to rewrite what I posted.
Waxworms are a treat, as the member above said. I use them as a treat every few weeks, and to help underweight/breeding females. They are very high in fat, and addictive.
As for being addictive, don't take it lightly. My 4 year old female was addicted to them for some time and refused to eat mealworms. I had to basically starve her for a month until she caved and ate mealworms. It took some time for me to just go through with this, because I felt bad for her and would offer waxworms. Another method that sometimes works is rubbing the guts from the waxworm on another worm.
My juveniles eat daily, 5-10 mealworms or small superworms, depending on what bucket I grab from the other room, all of which are gutloaded and either dusted if being hand fed, or placed in a dish filled with pure calcium (this dish is left in the tank at all times for them to eat from it). Crickets are great food, less fatty and not as hard to digest, I just hate the noises they make and they would easily escape from my rack setup.
