And coincidentally, mine as well for the most part if you don't include the 20g I had when I was 15.
Her birthday is coming up, and we somehow got blessed with a wonderful $250 cheque from the government for something to do with child care benefits.
being that her birthday was so soon, and I had the money right now, me and my mom went splits and purchased a brand new 35g, with a perfecto hood, and a penguin 200 filter. I had gravel and a visitherm deluxe kickin' around to finish it off. $188.30 later, she has a very nice (sized) tank in her bedroom.
The desk its sitting on is a very well built desk, and doesn't move in the least, even when shoved. It appears to be holding the weight without issue at all.... although my daughter can no longer use her desk
she loves the tank, and once I pickup a power bar, thermometer, and timer, its basically ready to be cycled.
Heres my problem though, the glass is bowing because there is no center brace, and there isn't a lot of frame lip to screw a brace onto, so how could I go about adding a plexi-glass center brace and have it very permanently mounted to the little lip on the frame?
Anyway, there is water in it, in the pics, the flash just makes it look like there isn't.
anybody got suggestions? ideas? comments? I don't want her to have one of those fruity children's tanks, I want her to get to know her stuff properly and have a really nice looking tank.
