Yes, the rocks are on the inside of the tank, I used silicone to glue them to the glass. LoL, 150g that would be real fun! It took a bout 6 hours and 15 pounds of rocks for me to do this to my 20 gallon.

Thanks for the great comments everyone. And thanks for the suggestions rsanz, marinkafuschia, and Ozymandias.


So, when you all say stick with one species of plant such as anubias, should I use a variety of different anubias or should I pick I specific anubias plant and go with it. Also is there a type of anubias that grows about 10-12 inches, so I can use in the backdrop? BTW Ozymandias I am also concerned with the lighting, I would like to upgrade it but I am trying to find to cheapest and most effective way to do so.

personally i would go with a mix of anubias, thay look similar but varied enough that it will lend character to the tank. for lighting you might beable to retofit the existing bubl with some type of compact floresent. or see what you can do with regulat (power saver) light bubles, i know that the daylight ones are in the 5,500 K range.

Rock wall background looks fantastic! My only question would be that of "cleaning" the wall when algae adheres to the rock....or would it just look "natural" and leave it alone? I suppose algae could be taken off with a stiff bristle brush if necessary. Any thoughts?

No updated pictures yet dafferspup, I just got two broad leaf anubias last night and will be getting some more plants soon because my upgraded light is coming today. Will probably have some new pictures by the weekend.

That is a good question. If my stock does not take care of the algae growth, then I will probably just leave it alone unless it effects my water quality. I like the natural look and think that a little bit of green on the black rocks would look really good. I have even thought about attaching some java moss to the rocks.
