My First Planted

Oh, I used the plant substrate like arragalive but for plants and I use the Seachem pills every 3 months to fertilize.
Thank you,
Caryn

Great photos London!

Caryn...you might start a thread for assistance in the plant forum...

Great looking tank, LondonDragon. I want one too :)
Will you do a noob a favor and list your plants? Also, do you fertilize at all? Can you say a bit more about the maintenance?

At the moment I use Kent Botanica Fe, K, Vita and Grow, I dose daily according to the instructions on the bottles ;)

amazing. tell me about your diy co2 injector please.

I just use two Nutrafin CO kits, (see image below)
One with the step ladder diffusor and the other with a ceramic diffusor.

GREAT looking Tank.:girl:
I have a 20gallon planted. Also a 110 cichlid.
Cleaning is NO problem w/the cichlid tank of course.
BUT, how do you clean up all the debri and junk on the bottom of a planted tank ?
I have just been swishing the water around with my hand and stirring it up.
I can't use my Python.
What's the SECRET PLEASE ?????
Also, What is the best light to have that helps keep the colors of the plants and not change the color of the tank, like no blue color etc.
And are the DIY Co2 things good ?

Thank you in advance to anyone/everyone who responds............ :dance2:

Caryn : )

I just use a normal gravel cleaner, just have to be carefull not to uproot any plants.

For lighting I use 2x24w 10000K and 2x24w 6700k

The DIY CO2 works for the time being, in future I want to upgrade to presurized with a PH Controler unit. But thats a little expensive so it will have to wait a little longer.

looks good. maybe a few more foreground plants.

I am working in spreading the HC (Cuba) a little more as it was too compact and have planted some riccia on a few rocks, will post photos later of that.

Many thanks for all the replies :)
