my fish are turning brown! help

This thread is scareing me!!!
Buy I don't know that I have ever read anything like this before, it is like a soap opera only with a little horror thrown in there. If it were me, I would be putting on a HAZ MAT suit and putting that whole set up in the garbage and starting over. !!
However, I am sure it's not as bad as it seems. I read somewhere that it's is a very bad thing to put any kind of wood for reptiles in a fish tank, could do some very bad things to fish. I am wondering of this is not the case here. If I had any money, I would be willing to bet this whole thing started with that wood.

haha so true. well we ended up taking the driftwood out and getting some stuff that we know is for fish. we still have some mystery diseases on and off but we still have most of them. the brownish color is still on some of the fish but they are all fine so who knows. we never figured out what it was. hopefully that "soap opera" is over. now we are starting "a new season of the soap opera" with our other 10 gallon tank.. read the link under newbie forums titled "algae and ammonia link?" if you are up for some more excitment. haha thats horrible to be joking about but you are right it is just like a soap opera
