If my goldfish die, I'll see if I can put some koi in there. My neighbor reccomended that I try that.
 
Koi need 1000 gallon or more for the first fish and an additional 500 gallons of water per other koi. Stick to Goldfish, preferably the more hardy types like the Comets or Shubunkins. Shubunkins are goldfish that have a similar coloration to Koi, also try Sarasa comets.
