My Guppy had babies **UPDATED! More babies**

So I was left with one guppy and one twig catfish after a horrible ick explosion in my tank and I was literally about to restock the tank with a few swordtails and fancy guppies. We come back from our weekend camping trip to find these little guys swimming around! So we've held off re-stocking until they are old enough to "not be bothered". It's been a bit over 1 week, so I decided to take a few pictures, Here they are :D

***UPDATE***
My guppy gave birth to 10 more guppies last night! I was away all day came back and my fiance pointed them out to me, I was in shock, my guppy still looked pretty "big" but I didnt think she would have anymore kiddies, wow! How long is this supposed to go on for? I didnt know this could happen ... Im such a newbie :p: The good thing is I've been watching them on and off and they are all still there and the mother is not even interested in them, so cool!

great for you!! my platy just had a litter, too.
 
Congrats. I'd pull them out and keep them in a seperate tank if you don't want them eaten though.

Nice looking tank. We apparently attended the same seminar on using fake plants and fancy backgrounds.
 
Thanks, so far they are doing great, the adult guppy (mother) doesnt go near them and Im pretty sure they wont be eaten ;) As for the fake plants, I am a newbie so figured for now it'll be okay to have, Im sure once I get into this hobby a bit more I'll re-do the tank, im definatley getting bored of the blue gravel :S
 
I wasn't being sarcastic or anything. My tank has fake plants, a picture background, AND blue gravel. I personally think it looks good. Thumbs up again on the tank. :)

awww... congratulations. they're too cute. they look just like mom. i guess that makes you a grandma?? :dance:
 
awww so kawaii! i had 15 guppy fry once....11 died...pond snail explosion...they took victims :sad: the four who have survived are tan near the front of their body with a neon blueish tint going into the tail that has a red color burst on it outlined in black edges with a couple of black spots in the red. STAY AWAY FROM POND SNAILS! i'll kill them all... :devil:
 
Sailfin molly had about 20 fry 2 days ago. Weird thing is they look nothing like mom. personally think it was a alian prob :joe:
