my kiddie pool

Vids the first on the post, I dont think the youtube embed works because its just a white screen on my comp. No the pleco is still lost, put some wafers and shrimp pellets inside so HOPEFULLY he will find it in the night

Right now its only filtered by a cascade 1000 canister. I have a quiet one 6000 on the way and I guess thats my next weekends project to get that plumbed in. Still thinking about mech filtration.

Awe, to bad...did you click it then paste the copy between the brackets? Hopefully he will find his home soon, I'm sure he will keep us posted on how everything goes K!!!

Hey...the link works, I just tried it!!!!

Is this inside your house? I had something like that for many years outside with goldfish in it. In the winter I put a stock tank de-icer in it and the fish did just fine. I had that pool out there for several years until a raccoon came along and trashed it and ate my goldfish. :mad2: I never fixed it up again as I knew that raccoon would just come back. But it was very fun while it lasted.

Nice.

Wow, looks like you have some real monsters in there ... you must change the water every day - cant see that one filter keeping it clean for long.

How deep is the water?

Why get a big tank when you got a kiddie pool?! =P

I had my snapping turtle in a kiddie pool for a while. It was a med sized one, about 5' across and 10-11" tall. They don't hold as much water as you'd think, mine was only about 65 gallons. I now have a 200gal plywood tank that takes up about the same amount of space. Can't beat 'em for price per gallon though. I was worried after 2 years that it was going to spring a leak though.
