I agree with the above the Kenyi and the auratus should really go. Up the numbers of the fish you have to control aggression issues down the line. Trust me on this one. I use to have a set up with several species of mbuna with only 3 or 2 of each type and it was horrible to watch there was so much aggression. I got rid of most of the species and cut down to only 3 species at about 5+ each and it's been much more peaceful. Now the aggression is just directed within the species and not just to all fish that pass by.
As far as rock work you're fine. Here's the rock in my 55 gallon. No problems at all
I have black construction paper on the flat panes of mine, you could do one across the back. Hides the cords and makes the tank seem like it goes on past the glass better than one of those fake picture things (mine never seemed to match right). A piece of driftwood (tall) might add some height to it without adding piles and piles of more rocks. Looks great though.
Yes you can add more rock the tank will hold just be careful on how you add the rock and make sure all is stable when done a good rule of thumb is to take your hand after placing all rocks where you want them and wiggle the rock if it is way too much wigglin going on you may want to re-adjust a more proper fit will ensure a proper seated rock and avoid a collapse.. :thm:
thanks everyone
all right this is what im planning to do. trade in 10 yellow labs,3 aurotus,2 kenyiis,2 maingano, the socolofi,2 gouramis
for 4 red zebras,4 blue cobalts,4 acei,6 demasoni, 2 synos
If you are getting demasoni then get A LOT of them, like 12+. They are really aggressive and if you don't have enough to disperse the aggression they will pick at each other until only one is left.
