My New Angel Tank

Bob, what cannister would you recommend?

Canister filters are one of those things that you swear by. Once you have found one that is easy for you to service, you are sold for life. Once one gives you any issue..you hate them. :)

I prefer Marineland Magnims and their new C-Series. Others will swear by Fluval, Eheim or a half dozen others.

Without starting any wars...:grinyes:...I would get something like the C-220 as it will give you fine performance in addition to the HOB Bio Wheel filters already there, without creating too much flow for the angel. If you didn't have the bio wheels, I would say the 360. In any case, canister is best for a CO2 injected plant tank if you go that route eventually.

Hmmm, $125 on PetSmart.com with the limited time rebate and free ground shipping. Good deal?

Mg is the best at finding on-line deals!

Found one for $100 but will have to wait till the bills are paid.

It's here, attaching some pics, as bad as they are...

Needs plants and DW. lol

Great pick up, that angel is a beaut!

Yeah I have an order of plants from mgamer pending and a basket of rocks the old owner gave me, but after the commute and resetting everything I didn't want to stress them more trying to aquascape. Also, looking for a really nice driftwood piece for the center.

Params are all good:
pH: 6.8
Amm: 0
Ites: 0
Ates: 6
Temp is 78 but coming up slowly, going to set it around 80F

Confirmed stock that came with it.
1 Angelfish - Following my Gods of the world naming convention, and the name of the street the old owner lived on, I dubbed this one "Atlas"
1 Emerald Cory - "Fortune"
1 Swordtail Platy - "Tom"
5 White Clouds
3 Cherry Barbs

This weekend I got some temporary rockwork and plastic plants set up to make the fish feel more comfortable. I am still looking for a nice center piece of driftwood, and have real plants coming this week. Everyone seems happy and the new heater is awesome.

I am going to make my first new stocking this coming weekend, I want to get some more Emerald Cories so Fortune will have friends. I am thinking 3 or 4 more.

Once the rock and plants are in I will start looking for a few more angels, I hope they will get along with Atlas.
