My new betta

Here's a pic of my betta, Bud, who I rescued from a wedding last year. I rescued a couple and this guy has a great personality. Not the best finnage, but I love him just the same :)

man, your fish are pretty! bright blue is neat, and green i hear is a rare color of a betta...anyone know why bettas have that wierd discoloration on their gill covers? first time i brought mine home i thought it was velvet (not really knowing what velvet was)

yes you can but you may want to see if they may be the same as a regular food I have seen some foods marketed as such be the same nutrition levels as others and same ingredients listed

what should i look for to find out whats safe and not safe for my betta? the one i have is specifically called "Gold Fish Flakes" so im having second thoughts if i should feed my betta those.

BettaMax,
I just noticed the plants in your picture of Max. Are those plastic? If they are you may want to consider silk or live. Plastic can damage his fins.

Just a thought.
