Hello, New to the site. here are some pics of my tank any suggestions or tips are welcomed....Damon

if i read your post correctly, you've got a 25 gallon tank? you cannot possibly maintain those fish in such a small tank.

Pangasius hypophthalmus - Iridescent Shark, grows to 18-24 inches. an aquarium of 200 gallons should be considered the minimum size for this fish. juveniles must be kept in groups; older ones don't need the company of their own kind as much. They must have very fast-flowing water and quick, schooling tankmates such as Tinfoil Barbs or Bala Sharks to help make the fish feel more at home.

Polypterus senegalus - Senegal bichir, is not an eel at all. the name dinosaur eel is one of those silly common names given to this fish by fish shops looking to make it sound more marketable. Bichirs grow to a foot, are predatory fish and in captivity will take any live or dead animal that can be swallowed or broken apart and then swallowed. the only thing preventing a bichir from emptying an aquarium of smaller fish is its lack of speed. given enough time however, this nocurnal hunter will eat any fish that can fit in its mouth. rest assured that any other fish smaller than three inches is a goner.

the green spotted puffer, Tetraodon nigroviridis, is often confused with the green puffer Tetraodon fluviatilis. both are BRACKISH water fish and thus, should not be kept with freshwater species.

you've got a terrible fish mix, and a much too small tank for the fish you have. i urge you to take back those fish for some that can fit in your 25 gallon tank ... or get a 250 gallon tank within 4 months.

And correct me if I'm wrong (the pictures didn't work) you have a Green Spotted Puffer? If so the need a minimum of 30g each brackish water and full marine a adults.

Damon...do you need help in posting the pics?

Thanks for the info . I feel so imbarassed. But thanks really. That's what Ive been needing is help as far as what's, why's, how's . That alot ....Back to the drawing board

no problem. we're here to help. sometimes when we see a stocing situation like yours we'll say something right away. it's easier to deal with a problem before it reaches 24" and you had to fold it to make it fit in the tank. . . .

ID sharks are actually a food fish, and not just in Asia - if you've ever eaten basa (Asian catfish - called basa so it doesn't compete directly with American catfish sales) you've eaten an ID shark or one of its close cousins.

Back when Wal-Mart (of all places) was selling GSP's a lot of people bought them not having ANY idea what they really need. Forums like this can be a great help when you go to an LFS and get zero info on what they are selling.
