Why are you interested in breeding cories?
Do you know the "footprint" of this corner tank? Is that what you meant by 5 square feet?
And what about the fish in your current tank?!?!
 
That many corys will be highly overcrowded in your tank, and you'd be leaving no room at all for any offspring. Not ideal spawning conditions at all.
 
no pictus cats! and less corys. also, plecos are pretty territoral creatures. you should only get one if you don't want them sparring all the time!
 
no, all plecos are loners. believe me, I learned the hard way. I don't know where you picked up that erronious info, but if you LFS said that they were just trying to gain a few pounds (LOL!) and were lying to you.
