They are cute! I forget the small ancistrus species (not yours) I always wanted to try but never found them. You have a good source for unusual fish, I hope they breed for you, you've got the knack!
Not often, but it was nice to find something different. Usually only Ancistrus around are common bristlenose varieties. Not knocking them because I adore them too and have a pair in another tank that I
don't intend to breed, but was neat seeing something unusual at all, and turned out to be something very unusual to find at all. Not a very common species in the hobby apparently all around.
The male is a bit less shy, the female has found a spot to hide during the day while the male seems content sitting on the sides of the logs in clear view.

Their "scales" have a bit more of a shine to them compared to my common BN. Subtle, but very nice.
And some photos of the tank tonight anyways. Busy fish! Can see the male on the log by the black neons in the first picture. The ceramic log is for my L240 pleco, but I think I'm going to pick up another type for the new ancistrus so there's no need for them to fight.
