wow...I just looked at the first question of one of their tests and quit right away...that was a waste of 5 seconds of my life

That is basically what I did...several of the questions I could look at for a few seconds and the answer was pretty clear....the rest I basically just guessed at

Here is the thing....they can't get you to sign up as a member of the "High IQ" society if they don't give you a flattering high score. Cha ching.

There's tests out there that boast "80% correlation" w/ Stanford-Binet test scores and other such BS. If you look at a linear regression w/ only a 0.8 (80%) for r² (coefficient of determination), it can look a lot like a shotgun blast, with a slight skew toward the ends of the trend line.
As the spouse of a qualified clinical psychologist, I assure you that a decent IQ test is not administered at a PC over the course of a few minutes. It takes controlled conditions and a lot of time to assess intelligence, especially for younger folks.
For anyone who now wants to run out & take the Stanford-Binet, Goethe wrote Faust. You get no points if you mispronounce it, but you can write it down for the proctor. (Now your S-B results are invalid, unless you already knew that:Angel
