@ Gretchen

My most aggressive fish is my Oplaline Gourami. She chases everyone except the barbs (can't be bothered) or the Pleco (obviously).

@ Sumthin Fishy

Why would a BGK not work in a 46gl tank! My God, how big do they get?

i dont think it would work either. the angels would get hassled and fin nipped and possibly stressed to death.

Ok I will tell her no Angels because the will get stressed to death. I will try to break it to her gently. The blue Kenyi is kinda hers anyway, so she has one right now.

I think your angels would suffer. I may have had an especially savage one, but I put a jewel in a community tank with some full-grown angels and all their fins and tails were shredded in one day.

BGK - up to 20 inches in size. A big fish.

I would agree that if you are getting a new bigger tank why not just wait and set the 46 gallon up as an Angel tank. That would seem to me to be the best idea. I think they will get harrassed in your current set up.

She is about 1.5" but most of my fish are cichlids and they should all be OK with each other.
