As a new hobbyist with two young boys (3 and 5) who enjoy to wrestle near the tank, these examples are the sole reason I went with an acrylic tank.

I did this once moving a 20 (moved it 1/3 full of water and fish)! I didn't realize it was a no no.
not that I know of, but mantis shrimp can easily shatter glass (at least the smashers.)
Don't know about a bullet fish, but I have seen Pirannas (sp?) that ram the glass fairly hard when prevoked from the outside.
Enough to break? That's for the Mythbusters.
I would assume if they figure out a fish's top speed and force applied, they could probably figure it out quite easily.

Dont mantis shrimp bust the glass with theiir paws. smashing it? Im not sure, but I thought I saw that on the discovery channel.

when transporting a tank, acrylic is almost umbreakable at the joints.

If it's tempered glass, you can hit it with a baseball bat basically as hard as you can and it won't break.
But if you poke it with something sharp, like a screwdriver, it will shatter into a million pieces.
I'm not aware of any tanks with tempered glass sides though. Maybe small cheap ones.
Lots of tanks have tempered bottoms.
