Nanos BJGD Log

My female does shoo that coloring I'm doing this 2 weeks of good feeding and daily water changes with tank temps at 83 then I'm not going to feed at all for four days and I'll lower the temp down to 79 will see how this goes. Ive been taught that it's a very good technique for breeders

I put the divider in today the parrot and cutteri are getting ready to spawn and I don't want to risk any damage to the jacks, I'm feeding the jacks very well about 5 times a day blood worms and some home cooked foods. The temp is turned down to 77 right now I'm going to bring it back up to 82 soon.

Hmmmm to each there own I guess what ever floats your boat. I know some fish benefit to the whole seasonal thing like Rams, Discus and even some pleco's but I honestly dont see why you would do it with JD's. Mine are caring for there giant brood right now. I feed mine daily twice a day actually and boy do they got ALOT of fry. Keep us updated on your fish. Pics are always welcomed here the more the better.

Well the only reason I'm truly putting all the different types of techniques in is becuase the female seems very uninterested and just swims up and down the back of the tank I tested it perfectly fine, I test when ever I see my fish do this just because when I first saw it a few years back my ammonia had sky rocketed and killed my salvin. Right now I'm kind of giving up on my methods they don't seem to work and I'm most likely doing more harm than good so I figure I'll just feed em and change there water but other than that I'll let em be. I'll post some pics tomorrow if I get the chance

They just need time to adjust. I know mine took awhile even after paired up they took awhile to actually breed. Just give them time.

The pair is doing fantastic! They have been digging and cleaning out pot after pot after pot I have a mound of sand in the front of my tank now hahaha. I've got some really nice photos of the pair to upload.

How are they when the lights are on??? I notice you only take pics with the lights off using flash. They look good. What you feeding them???

Nope the lights are on in those photos I use a magnify glass to enhance the view. They always look dark after that. And when the lights are on they just go from pot to pot cleaning them and chasing of the jag. I've been feeding then blood worms a lot of them to ahahah you can see how the females getting fat.
