Nasty fish for a 10 gallon tank

Dwarf Sunfish. Wouldn't require a heater either.

interesting. where would i get a fish like that? i know i could go fishing, lol, but im not sure if taking him from polluted waters to pristine waters would be too much of a shock for it?!

Well, look at my avatar - 4 or 5 tiger barbs would be entertaining.

I am not familiar with paradise fish, but after looking them up, those long fins look rather tempting for barbs. On the other hand, several sites list a school of barbs as tankmates for paradise fish.

I guess I'm no help?

ok i found out the name of the cichlid i told you about. it is called a "neolamprologus pulcher" or daffodil cichlid. that may not be the agro name your looking for but i have read that 2 work fine in a 10gal with minimul decor and sand for substrate. it is recomended that a 15gal is used though, so maby you might want do a little more looking on them. like i said befor they are great looking and if i didnt have such large agro fish i would have some now. anyways good luck.

oh ya their max size is suposed to be 3".

piranhas are skittish little wusses.

unless you have like 10 of them and they dont eat for a while.

I agree, I would never consider my piranhas nasty. Yeah they will eat goldfish, but if you feed them reguarly, their appetite is less than my goldfish's (literally) lmao. and not to mention everytime I walk by the tank they flip out and go headfirst into the filter tube. I know one guy that had a piranha once in a 55 gallon and got so skiddish of something that swam into the side of the tank so hard that is cracked, I should have known from that story not to offer to take these guys off somebodys hand haha
