Native Fish

Ok.. most of you are correct.. the one in the first pic is a Green Sunfish.. It's about 5.5-6", when I caught it the colors on this fish were simply amazing and yes it reminded me of a GT so I had to keep it! It's slowly getting it's coloration back.

The second pic are Rock Bass (we call them Red Eyes down here), they have huge red eyes and BIG mouths. You can also see them in the last 3 pics, the last pic the one that was pointed out is a baby red eye.

The BIG fish is a creek chub (we call them Horny Heads as they get little bumps / horns as they mature). This one is about 12", maybe a little bigger. We've caught them up to 14-15" before so I'm curious to see how large he'll grow.

Some of the smaller fish are green sunfish, rock bass and what I call "sunfish" I use the term loosely.. The little guys were caught with a minnow trap, they love Dog Food :D

The rock bass and Green Sunfish are going to stay most of the others will probably become feeders to my wolves.

They are currently in my 50 breeder (48x18x13) but I'm really considering moving them to my 120 (48x24x24) when I get it up and running. If i do add them to that I will also add a couple pickerel as well.

isn't it stupid that you can eat fish you catch but can't keep them especially seeing as a good percentage of fish are wild caught?
