necigrads reef build

Been thinking some more about livestock. As far as the CUC goes, it strikes my that no two people agree, and I'm not saying that's bad. Because of that, as I said in the post above, I'm going to go with the LFSs advice. The framework will be around 10 each snails and crabs in a variety and 1 cleaner shrimp.

My curiosity that lead to this post was fish. Other then an ocellaris, I really didn't have any plans, just ideas. I'm very agreeable to a goby in there as well. I THINK three small fish in a 24G will be fine, and I'm curious to hear the opinions. I'm also leaning towards buying TWO ocellaris at first. The thought process is that two put in the tank together may buddy up and/or not get too territorial. I know they're rather docile fish, but I think I've heard of rare problems. Would that avoid a problem? Am I imagining a problem? Also, any reason not to put two fish in the QT at once? Assuming I get young ones, I can't imagine the bioload being too high.

For the other fish, what would work well? I know gobies are fine, but which ones? Are there other good options? And yes, I want the opinions.

False clowns can be very aggressive towards each other (usually they are good with other types of fish). I have spent over a year trying to pair up my regular false clown. She has gone through 5 possible males (luckily, all except one were taken back to the fish store). I think you have the right idea of buying two clowns at a young. I introduced males to my female way after she was 1 year old. My young BW clowns seem to be getting along better than my large female did with her possible males, but there is still some bullying so you have to watch them closely. A QT should always be ready even after you introduce them to the display tank in case one starts to stress the other.

As for a goby, I would see what you have available locally and post the ones that interested you on your thread. There are many different gobies to choose from that would work nicely.

Well, first off, sorrry for the lack of pdates. Been busy and have't been on the site. I bought 2 clowns, but they both died, presumably to some bonehead (me) thinking his uncycled tank was cycld. I just couldn't get them to eat, and then I discovered high ammonia. It's done, so ATM I'm waiting for the cycle to complete for more.

No for the better update.

I'm a reefer! I finally have corals! :-)
Here's the list provided to me by the LFS. She hooked me up with a "grab bag":

Watermelon Mushrooms

Yellow Finger Gorgonia

And the featherduster:

Dunno how exactly to set any of these, especially the featherduster. I'm figuring to leave them where they're at for the moment. Give them a few days to be no so pissed. Comments on placement and feeding are greatly apreciated.
