need a pure black fish

All of the black mollies I have raised from fry turned out peaceful versus the occasional aggressive female purchased from the LFS.
I have an all black Halfmoon Plakat Betta from Thailand, but he has stripes of iridescent blue on his tail.
hmmm. there are lots of black livebearers.... um there are black species of tetras. i can think of some others, however. they get to big for that size tank.

is there any difference between a regular molly and a balloon molly? is one more hardy / less aggressive than the others. From my understanding, there are regular molly, saifin molly, and balloon molly right? can someone give me a rundown on their differences, i know saifin is larger than the other 2.
I got plenty of time before i add livestock - at least a few more weeks for my tank to stabilize from all the new eco ecomplete substrate / co2 changes.
FISHSHROD, that's a nice looking tank! especially love the carpet, is it marsilea quadrifolia? seems a little big for it though. Do tell

I love that tank, FISHSHROD! One of my tanks has a black background, and I was considering changing it to blue, now I can see how it looks. What is your background made of?
