yes I do have maracyn 2

my only question is: i can move him to a 10 gallon plastic container BUT my tap water has 1 ppm of ammonia... how hard will this be on the fish???

Hmmm...if you medicate in the cycled 3 gallon you run the risk of killing the good bacteria in the filter with the meds...

There are some products like 'Ammo-lock' and such that are supposed to neutralize ammonia--I've never used it in combination with medication, but it might be worth a try.

If you have a planted tank/plant lights, adding a huge bunch of anacharis plants to the Q tank would probably help--they suck up ammonia like crazy.

Now how do I desinfect his tank and all the equipment, gravel, fake rock, heater, etc...
Should I throw the bio-wheel away??
Please, let me know how to do this!!
