Need help identifing these Angels

They are very good looking fish and it looks like you are well on the way to knowing if its genetic or some kind of feeding regime as Star_Rider suggested. Please keep us posted on the outcome.
This could be the beginning of getting some of your fish expenses taken care of.

Update Angelfish fry

Just a quick update on my new angel pair. I have several hundred at 1 week from free swimming and eating live brine three times a day. I also have another batch that was just layed today, that I just pulled this evening. They are definitely a healthy pair, they have been spawing about every 7 days. Very large clutch's of eggs also, approx. 400 to 600 eggs at a time.

Neat! I'm curious about the feeding routine: are you home to feed the fry three times a day, or do you have some sort of auto-feeder?

Feeding

No auto feeder. I work a full time job M-F 8 to 5, they are fed live brine before I go to work, when I get home and right before bed. I'll do this for the first three weeks from free swimming and then I wean them off of the brine and start feeding crushed flake and other foods gradually.

very exciting!!!

great job on those angels

That's pretty cool that you have so many fry. I'll be interested to see what happens as they continue to grow.
