Need help keeping Water Clear

How long has the tank been setup? The reason I ask is...when the LR starts to come to life everything inside it will come out and do some spring cleaning. As things come to life the rocks will blow out white stuff from within the rock. I've read that it s could happen all at once and you will see what looks like a snow storm in your tank. Is the stuff white? If so that might be whats happening. Hope I helped

i'd do a larger WC, about 8-10g. i don't really know why you have all those particles in your water tho... on a side you have quite a lot of fish in your bio-cube expecially for only being 3 months old. seems like you might have pushed the tank a little far a little fast. i'd probably get rid of the engineer if i were you personally it'll get pretty big (about 12")...

So you think I am overstocked? I hardly ever see the engineer, he is buried in the sand all day until feeding time. I would have to tear my tank apart to get to him. To answer the other question, yes all the particles are white. If I am overstocked, looking at my stock. What do you suggest I get rid of? I will have to take out all of my liverock to get any of these fish. Is it worth it?

LOL.. should I chime in.. or just say look at my tank.. hmmmm Salty420? ;)

Naw, I know, his setup is different. No sump and all. I agree, that is pushing the stocking limit for the time setup.

personally yes, i think you are pushing it with your stock. but you do have a lot of LR in there and have the skimmer and with your weekly WC's you should be fine. the engineer is just a pretty big guy in there but if you can't snag him during feeding time you may just let him be. i have a 29g bio-cube as well with just 3 fish, my 37g has 5. but like i said just be sure to keep up on your maintenance and you should be fine. as far as the micro particles goes hopefully after some more WC's you'll be able to get rid of them. i really don't know why you're having such a problem with them..?

Ace,
What filter pad material would you recommend? I will try to remove the goby if I can.

Would running a carbon bag in the filter clear up the water? That seems to help on mine.
