Need help keeping Water Clear

Your skimmer/filter whatever it is is not working properly. Your water clear up in a few hours or less.

How often do you clean the filter?

I don't know what a biocube filter is, so I'm kinda at a disadvantage.

The skimmer seems to be working properly. I am going to do another WC and try a different filter media this weekend. I am at a lost. It could be what Animalman said about the liverock coming to life. I will keep you posted.

no i haven't, honestly that tank is second fiddle to my 37g so it just runs standard. i would like to do some modifications to it eventually but im pretty tied up financially in my upgrade right now

thats the most expensive part of any tank (the tank it leads to)

Try a 100 micron filter bag. That will catch most or all of the >100 micron particles

So hows the tank. Everyone is right, you should try running carbon and some floss. Sorry I didn't mention that in my first post.

i would suggest ur filter is insufficantmabe u need a finer filter media also try to get ur hands on a product called GEO LIQUID mineral magic iv just started using it in my 2 tanks and i haveto say my tanks have never been clearer.
the web site for geo liquid is
http://www.geo-flex.com/
i would recomend this stuff to anyone. its awsome

I'd not be comfortable using that product. Sorry. While it is true that trace minerals need to be replenished it is also true that a good salt mix will also do this. And frankly any product that calls itself "magic" in the marine world seems to be another miracle cure in a bottle that I generally stay away from.

Did a 10 gallon WC, place a bag of Chemipure between 2 polyfiber filter pads in my second chamber. It cleared up my tank alot. I still have some particles, but nowhere near the storm there was before. Thanks for the help.
