The Plecos are already gone. I gave them both to a petstore, and he gave me a 9$ can of fish food. Not quite what I wanted, but I had to get rid of them before I went to Mexico.
I sold a dozen of the Julies on CL for 5$ each, and have people coming to get more. I added two juvie Frontosa Burundi, 7 yellow leleupi, and 4 unknown shellies (I think).
Be very careful with that stocking in the long run. Those other fish will be snacks to an adult frontosa. Are you planning on getting more fronts, btw?
I'll probably stick to the two fronts, as centerpeice fish. I've been told that they are pretty peaceful. So far they are pretty timid. The larger one is about 5" total length, and he leaves the 2" leleupi and shellies alone. If it turns out to be a problem I'll either move them to their own tank, or sell them, they seem to be in pretty good demand. How fast should I expect them to grow?
Yeah, that looks like it. I can't seem to find much info on them with google. Can you tell me anything about them? They seem pretty happy, usually the first to go for the food, except the crazy mbuna.
Bummer it's a malawi, but I might be getting some ruby peacocks today, so it looks like I'm gonna have a mixed tank for a while until I get my fish shed running.
They're pretty peaceful, even more so than peacocks, I've had it for a while in an all male peacock tank and it was fine, just google lethrinops sp. yellow collar, here's one profile from cichlid forum:
