here, just to help a little. it makes identification of the species easier if you use the scientific name or the species name. most people are better able to know which fish you are talking about when using the sci name rather than the vague common name. the only time that common names are easy or things like "multi" or "calvus" or "lelupi". it'll be easier on you for buying purposes as well as learning purposes to know the scientific name, its much more acurate.
ANYWAYS. onto stock. 6 multies should give you a good start on a colony. and for the julidochromis, you should go with either the transcriptus since they stay smaller, although as already stated you could go with ornatus as well, they get only a little larger. a calvus should be fine, they grow very slowly, and shouldnt get too big to be a threat to the multies for awhile. this will be a nice and simple started setup i think.
