New 30 gallon planted tank build.

I'm a bit confused...do you have just a single strip right now? I wasn't aware Coralife made anything but duals.

With my newest low maintenance tank I decided to buy more than I probably needed and planted heavily from the start. Was very nice from a visual standpoint and also helps bring in a lot of bacteria if you buy established plants.

Yeah, it's just a single strip. If I had a dual I would probably be okay if it were two of the same bulbs.

So I finally got a chance to go to my LFS and they said that my fixture is a T5HO which means that I can use a high output bulb. They were so confident that they signed a statement saying that if the bulb frys my fixture then they will replace it with a brand new one. I haven't bought the bulb yet though. I wanted to do some research on bulbs first.

I just got off of the phone with coralife. They told me that it is indeed a NO fixture. Jpappy was right and that confirms my decision to get a new fixture. I can't find bulbs for this fixture anywhere. The guy on the phone told me it was a T5 NO low profile.

I've put together a stocking list finally. I've done my own research on these species and based on that they can all go together in my tank. If anybody has experienced problems with these fish being together or with the plants that I have please let me know so I can adjust accordingly.

The plants I plan on adding as of right now are, java ferns, some more swords and a carpeting plant haven't decided on that yet.

The fish I want to add are 2 bristle nose plecos and 4 angels. I would also like to add a schooling fish, but I'll have to see where the bio load is at first after the other fish.

I don't think there's enough room for 4 Angels in a 30g. You'd be better of deciding on how many and what kind of schooling fish you want and get them established first. Then choose an accent fish like a Dwarf Gourami or Betta, something that can be kept alone.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind.

IF you're starting with small angels, then you can do it temporarily and you may even be able to keep a pair or two females but you'll definitely have to remove at least two as they continue to grow and that will definitely affect the rest of your planned stock list

Okay then I'll stick with two. I just really like angels. I'm definitely getting the bristle nose though. The two angels and bristle nose are not up for discussion, lol. I'm going to start looking into schooling fish. Don't forget y'all, that I have two panda Corys in there already. I'll update y'all when I decided on a schooling fish.
