New 30 gallon planted tank build.

I'd also get liquid co2 and perhaps that'd help. From my limited research about plants, they need good light, ferts, and a source of co2 to grow well.

Thank you. I'll try that. If it works well then I'll look into getting a c02 setup for the tank.

I started dosing api c02 booster two days ago. Hopefully I'll see some results from that. As for lightning, I'm looking around for a new setup. I'll post whatever I decide to get once I've made the decision.

Update. I'm not seeing any change in the swords. I was recently at the LFS and they suggested more fish so I'm going to try that. If that doesn't help them then I'm giving up on the swords until I'm more experienced with plants. Does anyone have any suggestions for a background plant that I can replace the swords with?

I'm no expert on plants and I don't if it actually works, but I seem to see new growth when I trim older leaves. Do you have any that you are ok cutting at the base. This MIGHT stimulate some new growth. May take a week to see leaf sprout.

Should have said "I don't know if"

Okay so I know is been a while, but here is an update. Swords never made it. The anubiases flourished until I had to move. I kept the tank going. It's been about two weeks since the anubiases crashed, but I noticed new leaves last night! So enticing is running fine right now.

That's what it looks like after some pruning. I am noticing some new growth. So I'm guessing the plants just went into shock during the move. The fish were donated to the local fish store to prevent any deaths, so I'll have to start over there. I think I'm just going to stick with plants that are close to the anubias in the way they grow. Any suggestions on that?
