New 30gal setup

yeah, the jumping concerns me. I'll have to think of something.

Ok, I promised more pics so here they are. I also forgot to mention that I had an impulse purchase of another powerhead. It is a Zoo-Med Power Sweep (160 gph). Nothing major, but it is definately helping with the water movement around the tank. We also picked up a Coralife Timer that would allow me to set the timer for all three lights (10,000k, actinic and lunar).

Ok...here are the pics.

First, a full shot of the tank with the new rock. This picture was taken with just the 10,000k lights on, not the actinic.

Next, a closer view of one piece of showrock and the Tonga Branch in the center. Still not sure of that placement for the branch, but for now it stays.

Next is the new layout on the left. I flipped the top flat rock over and added the other piece of show rock. This rock has algea growing on it and the LFS said it was slow growing and beneficial. A lot of their rock had a bunch of glass coral on it and I didn't want to deal with having to squirt and kill them all. We looked really hard to find a couple pieces that "appear" to be free of them. I like the algea. It is bright green and has small black spots on it, evenly spaced. I hope it is ok. Below the grouping is a close up of the rock with the algea.

Finally tonight is the tank lit with only the actinic light.

Enjoy.

Grins, what do you mean by egg crate? I see that term pop up but never asked about it before.

You know the white grids that are over ceiling flourescent fixtures? Square openings? That is egg crate. If you look at some of the photos people have of their fuge or frag tanks you'll see it used it those as well.

Thanks Grins.

Where would someone find egg crate? Is that something you can pick up at a Home Depot or other home improvement store?

Thanks again Grins.

Speaking of lights, I have programmed the timers for my lights and I hope what I worked out is ok. The blue actinic comes on at 10am. At noon the actinic is joined by the 10,000k, which stays on till 8pm. From 8pm till 10pm, it is again only the blue actinic. At 10pm. the lunar lights come and stay on till it all starts over again at 10am.

Does anyone see any problems I might have with this setup?
