Our new 10 baby discus (1-1 1/2'') arrived via fedex yesterday
. All seem to be doing well so far, fins are extended all the way, they are shoaling and eating. This is a big step from all previous attempts at keeping these beautiful fish which mostly ended in failure. (Most of those fish died a day after the purchase from the LFS), even though my brother and I had done extensive research a year and a half ago.
Anyway, I just wanted to ask a question from those of you who keep discus.
I am a little overdo on water changes (just a few days), is it okay to do a water change, or should I give the little guys a few days yet to settle in a little more?
Also... any other tips on making them feel most at home is greatly appreciated, along with keep all of them alive and well for the first few weeks (anything other than general care).
I am hoping since we bought 10 of them that they will find it easier to adjust (safety in numbers).
