I just got some bamboo shrimp for my planted 55g. I got them on the spur of the moment (bad idea... I know) but I have researched them in the past. The first shrimp is about 3" while the second is about 4". One of the shrimp has been hanging out in the amazon sword (first pic). The other has been moving all over the tank, but is foraging on the ground for food. Everywhere that I've read, it says that this is somehow stressfull for the shrimp.
I understand that they are filter feeders and will typically position themselves somewherer near the filter outlet and feed there. Do you think that he/she's doing tis because he's now to the tank and hasn't yet staked out a spot to feed?
