[Oscars]

Just started with a 30gal tank and three juvenille Oscars- 2 of them Tiger and the third is Albino. Though I used to keep aquaria in my tropical native place since childhood, this is the first time i have one in the US. I wentwith basic setup and would like to grow with the fish I have.
DIY project is to build a 50-60 gal aquascped and heavily planted community tank to bring my favourites, gupplys, gouramis molly and the whole 9.
Will continue to give and take from this information rich community

My uncle used to have an awesome oscar tank, about foot long albino and tiger oscars which gave a nice color contrast.

Welcome! I think before you think about the 50-60 gallon community, I'd start working on a 150+ gallon setup for those oscars. Within a year, they'll need it (and they'll outgrow a 30 gallon in just a couple months)

oscars have alot of personality, but as others have mentioned, i would focus on getting a larger tank for them. they'll thanks you and it will be much easier to keep the tank and them healthy in a tank around 150 gallons.
