the fins will grow back quickly if you keep good water quality and reduce stress. If its fins are allready torn, I doubt that it will have time to regrow them with the other fish constantly harassing it.

No salt! melifix and primafix will help with stress and healing, but if there is not a enough room for two firemouths the problem will only get worse.

well i cant get the picture but to get a vissual, the tall is split in mutipulls there is one chunk takenout of the tall, half of one of the sid fins in taken out.
As a guess it sounds like there is not enough room for them both to secure a piece of territory each. If this is the case the more dominant fish will bully the weaker one to death and it wont matter how many hiding places you have.
