you cant keep them in a tank at 78degrees f....
my tank is 85degrees F...

No, Ron. When I had discus, the temperature is no lower than 82 degrees. They tend to look sluggish when temperature is lower.

the barbs were dime sized when I got them... they were beat up pretty bad by my rainbow shark... so I transplanted them into the 125, before I got the discus.. they dont bother anyone.. they chase each other around a bit, but thats all... Fitst time I see them nit at the discus, they're going into the 37 though..
 
Those discus are really nice, beautiful colors... unlike mine I had in the past that were always dark in color and appearantly unhappy.
