I have to admit I made one small mistake when I started my FBF up the first time. I didn't have the flow knob turned virtually off when I powered up the pump. :duh: Blew about 1/4 of the sand into the tank before I jumped up and turned the flow down. It takes only the smallest, and I mean tiny, movement of the flow knob to make the sand rise or fall. Naturally I had to go out and buy some more sand from my LFS and top off the filter. A little more sand in the aquarium didn't make any difference.....
