New fish

Question about if we decide to give it up. How exactly should I give it away?

Robad thanks for the advice. I think I will handle this with my mom and her bf when they get back home monday. Maybe they will understand. After thinking about the way you just put it robad I think I can handle giving it up.
HN I didn't think 1 cichlid would overstock the tank. I would like more feedback on HNs comment. Because if I am overstocked I defenitely won't get any more fish.

I think with the Pleco (High bioload) you may be (at least eventually). I know ZERO about cichlids, so rely more on the advice of the other folks that have them. I tend to lean towards understocking myself so I may be a bit over-conservative.

Well that's a good thing to hear right there, I wish more issues could be handled like that.
As for a website to order fish from, I have never ordered any yet, although when I do I plan on going to www.LiveAquaria.com. I have heard good things. Also, if you'll go there and look at a fish, you notice in the description, a link to a Compatability Chart. Perhaphs that would be helpful.

I gave mine up to the LFS. Some offer store credit. I bartered 4 cories in exchange for my 2 Plecos. They got the better end of the deal, but in the end my tanks are better for it.

Ok, now if I get rid of the pleco(still don't know if I will be able to) what fish should I get?

I'll leave that to the cichlid folks. Check out J dub's first reply.

Perhaps some more yellow cichlid. They could be a sort of multiple fish center "piece." Apparently the Cichlid stays in a single hole, and I think this could be changed with a few freindly additions of his own kind.
Ask someone that knows about cichlids and there load before you decide.
Also, I think you could order a placo or other algea eater that wouldn't grow so big.

I don't think our local fish stores sell any more yellows. But maybe if I show my mom these plecos we can order she will want to "ditch" the pleco and get a new smaller one. I hope with a few more yellows this one will actually move around...
