I'm no good at IDing these sorts of things, but to me, that looks like a bad fungus... like they are not all bad, right? But I mean a bad case...

Just to be clear, that white spot in the last pic isn't on the fish, it's on the glass. :o So if that's what you meant, sorry, didn't mean to be misleading.

He's definitely lost some color overall, and the top half from his head about halfway back is dark, brown almost.

Anyone?? I'm really lost and feel horrible- I'm pretty sure it's more than him being stressed, now. Internal parasites maybe? Looks like he may be a little bloated, probably couldn't hurt to try to get him to eat a pea right?

He's hanging out in the back now. A few minutes ago he tried to swim, and was pretty much getting tossed around by the current. Then he rested on a plant, completely vertical. :( But he doesn't seem to have trouble getting horizontal, or getting up or down when he wants to.

Oh no! I'm so sorry he feels crappy. I'm not sure what you could do right now.

...but that was absolutely perfect placement of a water spot in that photo

:o I know, right? I didn't even see it till after I posted it.

I hate the feeling of a pet being sick and not knowing how to help. :( Plus he's the second fish in my desk tank, and the first died after a week (different tanks tho). So frustrating!
